I have very, very tired. But it is done. The kitchen the back hallway and the main hallway are painted. Furniture is back in place. My Sweet, Wonderful, Intelligent, hard working daughter,

Tonya, is amazing. She worked harded than I did. I would never have gotten all of this done in one day without her.

This is my kitchen ceiling...the before shot...before I sold 51 pieces of enamel ware.

This is my kitchen wall...the way it looks tonight. Hopefully, by tomorrow night it will be a beautiful yellow. I've moved a lot of furniture today. Washed this one long wall and taped off the woodwork. One more back wall to do tonight. Then on to the hallway.

Gift from Kai

I received a wonderful Christmas gift from a Great Gal. Thank you Kai. I will hang this from the hardward on my purse. And I will take a little bit of you with me where ever I go.

Knitting...I can't stop

I have a love of purses and lately a love of knitting. Here is an almost finished purse...needs lining etc. And one with just the body of the purse knitted. The instructions came form the Knitty Gritty show. The designers name is Barry. For those of you that knit, the pattern is similar to making a dish cloth. They are knitted starting with only 3 knit stiches. And 2 different yarns.

I bought a beautiful Pendleton sweater at the Goodwill store. It wasn't in great shape...had a couple of small holes. Total cost about $2.00. I cut it apart and cut out a purse pattern that was a back pack. Sewed it up. Then held my breath when I threw it in the washer. I kept checking on it and when it was approximately the size I wanted it to be. I broke the rules and threw it in the dryer.

It is a Christmas present for my oldest daughter, Tonya. She hasn't seen it yet. Because I forgot to wrap it and take it to our Christmas celebration.

I got a wonderful Christmas present today from Central Asia via email. Some pictures. Here is one. Isn't the internet wonderful!

Now I am a little bit prejudice (since this is a picture of our Youngest daughter and our two granddaughters)...but I do believe these are 3 pretty girls.

Glass Ornaments

This ornament is made using Rainbow paint. I love playing with this paint. It is very different than most paints. It is thick and transparent. Made for glass. You can't use a brush to put it on. You just have to pour and hope for the best. I've sold hundreds of these in the last few years.

I made more ornaments for Jadon's tree. I bought 3 gingerbread men Wednesday. I thought they were really cute. When I got home...I thought I should have bought more....so Instead of going back to town...today I made three.

Another use for buttons

This is a button (vintage buttons) bracelet that I made. I love these. Even if it does take me forever to make one.

tree ornaments

Really a tree ornament...little primitive tree ornaments to go on one of my trees. I am doing one tree in soft ornaments only. So that Jadon can take the ornaments off and put them back on. And not get into any trouble. And another good use for those old buttons.

Christmas Trees

Two of my Christmas trees...the kitchen tree always makes me smile. If you look closely there is a cactus behind the big tree with horse lights. That is David's tree.

Button Ornament

I bet some of you have a button collection. I have jars full of them. I decided to use some of my vintage buttons. So I covered a styrofoam ball. And now I have a neat Ornament for my tree.

More Teapot Handles

Well, here are two more. I know, I got carried away. Or maybe I can't count. I kept thinking I had made 5. But only saw 4. One was hiding under my sewing machine. I found it after I made number 6.

Teapot Handles

I want to say first....bad scan, bad scan.
I am too tired to go take pictures...so I'll just show the scans. These little handles are for a Christmas Teapot swap on FDA.
I need to make 5...but I have run out of inspiration. Hopefully, tomorrow will bring a new idea for the last handle.

Me

Yes. that is me....The picture was taken over 50 years ago...but I haven't changed much. Just, taller, heavier, wrinkles...well..oh and I lost the hair wings.

Bracelets

I am working on Christmas presents. I've made eight bracelets...here are a few of them. The pictures are scans...so not great. But you get the idea of what I have been doing.

Dress from

I started this dress form a long, long time ago. It is finally finished. And it is a gift for my sister. I hope she likes it.
It is a pattern from Lincoln Mold co. I think. I covered it with paper mache..just went wild from there.

Quilts

Hurray, I finished the quilts. Two rather small quilts for two little girls. One for Jadon and one for Ella. Quilters please do not take a close look. Because I pretty much made my own rules when I made these quilts. My Mother will see them tomorrow (my mother the Quilter)! She will not be too proud of her daughter.

Unsuccessful

Not everything goes as I would like. I knitted three...three..Hats for our youngest granddaughter. None of them fit. I actually followed the pattern when I knitted the first one. Tried it on her...didn't fit. Knitted another one. Added stiches...well you get the idea. They match the afghan I knitted for her. Thank goodness afghans don't have to fit. Just mainly cover the child. Oh, this is a picture of the medium size one. Cute but too small.

DOMINO GUY

My dear, darling husband said this looks like the tin man...Only green. And I think he is right. Not exactly what I was aiming for. The head is from a press mold. I used embossing powder on the head and domino. The legs and arms are turquoise stones. And....I think it needs some kind of hair. Maybe then it wouldn't look quite so much like the tin man.

Little Socks

Hi everyone. I don't want you all to think my hands have been idol...I mean idle.
See the little socks I have been working on. I just did a little crotchet with wild yarn around the tops. Aren't they cute. And my Granddaughters love them.

still another paper doll

How many paperdolls can one person create? I think that depends on when you start and when you die. This seems to be turning into a life long journey. I have to quit...I just have to quit. I have a new grand daughter coming into this world August 28. I have quilts to make. So, hopefully, this will be the last paper doll for a while. And I really don't have words to describe her...just tell me what you think????

paper doll again

Same story up the stairs...only this time I knew exactly what doll I was going to make...but it didn't happen. Instead there was this ATC that I had made laying on the table. It grabbed my interest. A light bulb came on. And away I went. This one I am just not sure about. But here it is.

Here I go again. Went upstair to make another paperdoll. As usual not an idea in my head. So I started with the face. I thought perhaps it would take me somewhere. After finishing the face...still not any ideas...I thought about that box (ok it isn't a square box it is oval, so what do you call an oval box....surely it isn't a box) with the assorted silk/synsethic flowers in it. Everyone should do at least one flower fairy..so here is the result. Now the color is not right..I mean in the picture the colors are not true. What looks red is very dark pink.

Paperdolls

I have discovered that paperdolls are habit forming....Now I didn't need another habit, obsession, etc.
I'm making 3 for a paperdoll swap on Dollstreet...Judi from Alaska is hosting. (sorry Judi can't remember your last name) She has a big job ahead with some 150 dolls headed to her home.
I cut out a bunch of doll parts a few days ago. Today the house was quiet and I decided it would be a good day to do some. Not an idea in my head. I picked up an old calendar I had decided to keep....just didn't know why I was keeping it at the time. Copies of Van Gogh paintings. Well I was inspired immediately. I thought how can you go wrong with Van Gogh picking your colors and theme.
Well, I'll let you look and see what you think.
